To be a winning mixed poker game player you have to be very well rounded. This means you have to understand the rules, odds and basic strategies for every game in the rotation. To be a successful H.O.R.S.E player you have to be able to sit down at the ring table for every one of the five games and at least hold your own. Any weakness you bring to the table will be exploited by another table. I look at strategic knowledge as armor. If i'm playing 8-Game Poker and I'm not very good at 27 Triple Draw that constitutes a weak spot in my armor. The point I'm trying to make is so important you are going to have to suffer through one more of my analogies. Look at each poker game as a link in your chain. Your chain (ability to win) is only as strong as your weakest link. It won't help you much if you are "really good" at Holdem but not so good at Razz. You would be better off sticking to Holdem. If your not comfortable sitting at the cash games for every game that comprises the mixed variant you are basically giving your money away to well rounded players.
Knowing the winning strategy for online poker games is essential if you are going to play mixed poker games. If you cannot hold your own at every card game in the mixed poker game you want to play you will basically be hemorrhaging money. You do not have to be an expect at every single game. Being exceptional at the majority of the games and knowing the basic strategies for the minority is enough to turn a profit.
I probably went overboard making that point but so many players make that mistake. This web site can help you become a more well rounded player but you are going to have to work for it. A majority of these tactics have nothing to do with any of the individual poker games but are an essential ingredient of a well rounded mixed poker game player.
