H.E.R.O.S poker is a mixed poker game, much like H.O.R.S.E., but with the individual poker variants ordered a bit differently. Mixed poker games aren’t like other poker games, in the sense that you are not learning to play a single game, but rather a host of games played in rotation throughout a single poker sessions. H.E.R.O.S. poker rules pertain to the poker variants involved, the sequence of play, and the order of rotation. In order to learn how to play, however, you will need to learn how to play each poker game involved in H.E.R.O.S. Poker. This game is only available at Full Tilt Poker. We offer our readers a 100% bonus on your first deposit up to $600 plus a seat at our weekly $500 freerolls. These freerolls are private so them playing field is quite small. Read our FullTilt.com Review 2014 for more details.
H.E.R.O.S. stands for:
H = Texas “Hold’em”
E = Seven Card Stud “Eight or Better” (Hi-Lo)
R = “Razz”
O = “Omaha” Eight or Better (Hi-Lo)
S = “Seven” Card Stud
H.E.R.O.S. Poker - Rules of Sequence
The sequence of games played in H.E.R.O.S. follows the acronym itself. When the game begins, competitors will be playing Texas Hold’em, followed by Seven Card Stud Eight or Better (Hi-Lo), Razz, Omaha Eight or Better (Hi-Lo) and then Seven Card Stud. Once Seven Card Stud completes its rotation, the game will circle back around to Texas Hold’em and continue as such until the session or tournament has ended.

H.E.R.O.S. Poker - Rules of Rotation
It is not enough to know how to play each game in H.E.R.O.S. Poker. Rules of rotation are very important, as they determine when each new poker variant will be played. All mixed games follow one of three possible rules of rotation – Rotation by Hands, Rotation by Time or Rotation by Blinds.
Rotation by Hands: This is the fastest pace version of H.E.R.O.S. Poker. Each time a new hand is dealt, the next game in sequence is played.
Rotation by Time: In this version, the sequence of games changes at predetermined intervals as the specified time lapses. A common Rotation by Time would be every 10 minutes.
Rotation by Blinds: Especially popular in H.E.R.O.S. tournaments, Rotation by Blinds means that the sequence of games will rotate each time a new blind level is reached. The time at which blind levels increase can vary greatly, depending on the type of game and/or size of the tournament, ranging anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hour.
